Clayton “Box Tops for Education” program, sponsored by General Mills, is a program that allows our school to earn funds by having our families clip, shop and charge items that they would normally buy anyway.
New starting 07-08, Clayton put a new twist on the program. The monies received from the program go to the library to purchase books, hence "Box Tops for Books"! This program has always been a fun way for the kids to participate through contests and weekly drawings. Now, they even get to pick out one of the books from Mrs. Tuttle’s wish list to be donated. When they get their prize, they will also receive a "book coupon" to take to Mrs. Tuttle. Books will most likely be purchased in 2 batches during the year.
There are several ways to participate in the program:
- Clip Box Tops coupons located on the General Mills products your family purchases. Each Box Tops coupon redeemed is worth 10 to 30 cents to Clayton. There are hundreds of General Mills products found on the shelves today. Write your child’s full name, grade and teacher on the back of the coupon and place them in the Box Tops containers in either the cafeteria or the office. Each Monday three winners are picked from the entries. As prizes permit, contests will also be held throughout the school year. List of eligible products (PDF file)
