Clayton Elementary School has a strong history in the Math Pentathlon program. Each spring, our students compete in the National Mathematics Pentathlon Academic Tournament regional competition. Not only were we crowned National Champions in 2012 & 2008, we always have many medalists and Hall-of-Fame winners each year. Our team is run by parents and is a cooperative program. As such, families are expected to volunteer and participate in weekly practices as well as play the games at home.

Last year we had over 150 students actively participating on the team with over 25 kids on the waitlist. Due to the size of the program, parent/family involvement is required. Pentathletes meet each Tuesday from 2:57 pm - 3:57 pm. Students are required to attend tournament in the spring. Please visit the Clayton Math Pentathlon Website for more information. Please feel free to contact the Director, Angi Menell with questions or concerns.
