In addition to volunteering in your child's classroom, there are always opportunities to help and support at Clayton.  They range from program and project coordinators, helping the coordinators on a committee, help in the office or VIP room, and much more.  Some can be done from home and/or at night.  So, for all moms and dads, who work outside the home or stay at home, please think about what you can do.  Without Clayton's volunteers, many of the things you see simply wouldn't happen.  And besides the obvious benefit of supporting your child's education, you will meet so many great people!  See below for the immediate volunteer needs:

IMMEDIATE VOLUNTEER NEEDS
SOAR Reading Program - Program for 08-09 is kicking off and we need 240 volunteers!! This is fantastic volunteer-based program provided to help our young readers succeed. All it takes is a little time and care to make a big difference in the life of Clayton child. Click for all details on the SOAR Program and the link to the online volunteer sign-up sheet.
Key Chair/Coordinator Positions are still open for 08-09 - Many projects and programs only happen because of the help of volunteers. We still need coodrinators for: School Directory, Yearbook, Reflections Art Program, Public Relations, Track & Field Day, Art Department Fundraiser. Literacy Library - Many thanks to the re-organization of our school’s Literacy Library goes out to Jannell Dimaggio! The Literacy Library contains a large inventory of books in sets of 6, which teachers greatly use as a resource for differentiating instruction in their classrooms. If you think you can consider volunteering 30 minutes a week to contribute to a minimal task in maintenance of this resource… Contact Jannell Dimaggio at dimaggio@austin.rr.com for more details.
